Castle in the MistThe castle was eerie, folded up in mist and mountains. The redheaded boy glanced in its direction, dreading the fact that he would soon be there. But the King had called for his presence, so he had no choice.
Several hours later, he stood in a dreary, gold faceted room, alone but for an old ticking clock. At least that is what he thought at first. A chill crept up his spine as he realized that he was not truly alone.
He spun around, and seated behind him were some of the most beautiful people he had ever seen. The boy, appearing to be around his age, stared back at him with pale sapphire eyes, his sleek blue-black hair brushed back but for a few stray pieces adorning his forehead. He wore a suit of gray velvet and a blue ring sparkled on his finger. If the boy was the epitome of a statue, then the girl was a fallen goddess. Her flawless pale skin was accented by the lavender blue gems that were her eyes, and soft ruby lips caressed her face below a slightly arched nose. She wore a dres
Angelic DemonAngel-Dark smiles maliciously grow
Holiness peeks into the shadowy room
The flicker of soft black feathers drape
Over white feather wings like cool satin
A hand held out-whispering, laughing, luring
In kindness-“How long did you suffer?”
A caring smile-“Come, we will help you”
Shimmering into a trapped souls battle
A ring of rainbow turned to stone
Halos a DEMON! Vicious, snarling cold…
Meaningful dark eyes stare back filling
You with the instinct to do wrong
Love, hope, and paradise becomes Money lust and hate
The news of a promise restored
Becomes the painful writing of blood
Swearing an oath to the devil sends
Rays of golden light into the early morning sky
The happiness brung will shed tears,
But only those of joys as we scream for death!
A demon you say?
We are only human after all.
ForeverMoving through the bustling city streets
Staring around at the gray masses claiming to be people
A sound echoes throughout-my heartbeat
Bouncing off walls and streets like a type of Sonar
Stepping through the crowd
I only look forward, searching, craning my neck to see
And there you are
Sitting on the bench, gazing blankly at your surroundings
You notice me standing a few feet away, drinking in the site of you
We smile, as if no one else is watching
Jumping up, you take my hand
“It’s been forever!”
And it really has been. We both have changed.
The day flies by, a symphony of sights
Ice cold Ice cream entrenches on the soft noon heat
A movie, a museum, flash by
We run through alleys, jump fences
As if there is not a care in the world
Emerging into the street, you grab my hand again
The sunlight blinds us, a flash of memories
Time stops and our eyes adjust
As night begins to fall
We’ll say our goodbyes all over again
Holding me close, I beg you to tell me…
I don’t remember exactly how many years have passed since we met. It seems like forever, the days and months a blur. Thousands of minutes have passed in relative silence since the day the new kid asked to sit next to me on the bus.
“I’m Eric! I just moved here. Mind if I sit by you?”
A beautiful friendship began to bloom. He was so animated. I’d never met anyone who enjoyed talking to me so much, so I happily
The Day Time Stopped The Day Time Stopped
The first light of day swirls over the sheen of the city buildings. Dust covers the streets, old missing signs cluttering the dirty gutters. Here and there you can see the blood spatters, painting the city like some sadistic rampage. Empty, open cars litter the roads.
Five months ago, the dead rose from their graves and fell upon the living. Worldwide, countries are in shambles. People lost their homes, families, and most of all, their humanity. One bite spelt death, and not one person knew how to stop it. They didn’t get all of us though. My name is Ren. And I am a survivor.
Sitting back against the door, I watch the sun rise. Clicking the tab back on the can of stew, I hungrily shovel its contents into my mouth. For the past three months, I have barricaded myself inside this office, one of the many belonging to the towering skyscrapers of the city. Occasionally I go out in
I'm Happiest when...So I was doing College applications (Yay me lol) and on of the questions was Where are you happiest and why? So I did that one & this was my answer. Where are you guys happiest?
The definition of happiness can hold many different meanings too many different people. Anything from sitting with their significant other on the tail of a truck watching the sun go down, to something as simple as drinking a hot chocolate at their favorite restaurant. I personally, however, I find myself happiest when I’m sitting alone in my room. I have my laptop out to chat with the friends I have made from all over the world. My sketchbook is by my side and art supplies are scattered over the bed for easy access. A cup of chilled coffee sits on the shelf over a multitude of books. The windows are open to let in sunshine, the family cats curled in its rays of warmth. The voices of my favorite singers serenade me from the speakers. The brightness from the posters pinned on my walls and ceiling bathes the
